Grapefruit and Avocado Smoothie

Refreshing morning drink packed with immune-boosting vitamin C and other good for-for-you plant nutrients. Ideal breakfast or power snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 apple peeled and cored
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 cups spinach or other leafy green of your choice
  • 1 banana chunked
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk or coconut water or fresh orange
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger or to taste

Instructions

  • Blend greens and liquid base until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. If the smoothie is too thick for you add more liquid base or water and blend again. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw in everything at once.
  • Optional: Add superfood like moringa powder, chia seeds, or goji berries if you like.

Notes

  • Use one or more frozen fruits to chill the smoothie. Or use ice instead.
