Ice Cream Time! Lately, I have been experimenting with healthy versions of those sweet and refreshing treats. No sugar, gluten, soy, or dairy involved… so stop feeling guilty and try one of my favorite recipes to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Here are my favorite dairy-free ice cream recipes.

 

 1. Minty Coconut Pineapple Sorbet

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender. Blend until sorbet-like texture. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

 

 2. Avocado Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Avocados are one of my favorite foods… a few days ago I made avocado ice cream for the first time, and I loved it. If you are an avocado lover, just like us… click here for more healthy avocado recipes.

Blend all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor or high-speed blender until smooth. Pour the mixture into a container and add the chocolate chips. Let set in the freezer for 3-4 hours.

3. Chocolate Banana Ice Cream Topped With Fresh Raspberries

  • 2 bananas, peeled, sliced, and frozen
  • 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • Fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • Chocolate chips (optional)

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Top with raspberries and chocolate chips! Enjoy.

 

 4. Pina Colada Ice Cream

  • 1 ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • ¼ cup raw honey
  • Toasted coconut flakes (Topping)
  • 1 cup freshly chopped pineapple
  • ¼ teaspoon rum extract (optimal)

Blend coconut milk, honey, rum extract, and ½ cup pineapple in a blender or food processor until smooth. Briefly blend remaining pineapple until chunky texture (If you don’t like it chunky, blend all pineapple chunks in the first step). Place in the ice-cream maker or in the freezer and stir every 20 minutes until hardened. Top with toasted coconut flakes before serving.

 

 5. Green Smoothie Ice Cream

  • 2 frozen bananas chunks
  • ¼ cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 packed cup spinach
  • ¾ cup frozen mango chunks
  • ¼ cup almond or coconut milk
  • Dark chocolate or pistachios (topping)

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender or food processor. Top with dark chocolate or/and chopped pistachios.
