Ingredients
- 1 cup raspberries fresh or frozen (or any other fruit of your liking)
- 1-2 tbsps maple syrup agave syrup or raw honey (optional)
- 1 tbsp water warm
- 1-2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl or use a food processor.
- Cover and place in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Toast bread and spread chia seed jam on toast
Notes
- Slightly mixing will give it a jam-like consistency, while processing at a higher speed will give it a jelly-like consistency.
- If using frozen fruits, allow to thaw and remove moisture or add a bit more chia seeds to make sure everything gets jellified.
- Chia seed jam makes a lovely addition to cultured unsweetened (homemade coconut) yogurt, fruit bowls, oat bowls, quinoa breakfast, toast, etc.
