Cleansing Pineapple Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bok choy packed
  • 2 cups pineapple chunked
  • 1 banana chunked (frozen to add extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut water or filtered water
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice

Instructions

  • Blend bok choy, parsley, water, and orange juice until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. If the smoothie is too thick for you, add more liquid base. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw in everything at once.
  • OPTIONAL: Add extra virgin coconut oil, chia seeds, flax seeds, or other superfoods of your choice. I added 1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil and 2 teaspoons moringa powder while blending.

Notes

  • You can use the broccoli/kale stems instead of broccoli florets.
  • Use one or more frozen fruit(s) to chill the smoothie. Or use ice cubes instead.
