Lemon Shrimps with Broccoli, Carrots and Peas

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound medium shrimps deveined and detailed
  • 1 cup carrot chopped
  • 2 cups broccoli cut into small florets
  • 1 cup green peas (frozen)
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup water
  • black pepper to taste
  • sea salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime or lemon zest
  • 1/2 lime/lemon juice only (use less if using lemon)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Heat cooking oil over medium heat. Saute onion for 2 minutes, add garlic and ginger and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
  • Add broccoli, carrots, and water, cover and steam for 5-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Add shrimps, peas, lime zest, lime juice, butter, salt, and black pepper. Cook uncovered until shrimps are cooked. Stir regularly.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.
