Eating broccoli is good for you! Broccoli provides a lot of health benefits. It contains high levels of vitamins and dietary fiber. Some compounds found in broccoli have potent anti-cancer, antibacterial, and antiviral benefits. It reduces the risk of heart diseases and prostate cancer. Broccoli is also known for its positive impact on our detoxification systems and antioxidant benefits.
Like almost all other vegetables, benefits are reduced when boiled. Try not to boil your vegetables too long. Steaming or stir-frying are better options. Another great option to try is a broccoli smoothie. Shakes are so concentrated that they give you an excellent boost of all healthy nutrients.

You can use raw vegetables if you have a high-speed blender. If your blender isn’t powerful enough, you may want to steam them shortly.The good thing about a shake is that you can drink more than one plate of healthy vegetables in just one glass. You can combine several vegetables as you like. Broccoli can perfectly be combined with fruits such as kiwi, apple, grapes, and banana.
Everyone has a different taste, so try some combinations and let the flavors surprise you! A smoothie I can recommend is
- 1 apple, cored
- A handful of fresh broccoli
- 1 tomato
- 2 big carrots
- Ginger to taste
- 1/2 to1 lemon, peeled
- Water to blend
The incredible thing is that this is more or less the daily need of vegetables in one glass!
