Yesterday one of my good friends came to me in a panic. In less than 2 weeks a friend of ours is getting married. Lately, she hasn’t paid attention to her weight and lifestyle and gained a few pounds around her waist…
Although I’m not a huge fan of quick weight loss, she’s my friend and actually we all have been in a similar situation before… so I’ll share my quick weight loss tips to fit into a smaller dress in less than 2 weeks with all of you.
1. Hydrate
Make sure to drink plenty of pure water and/or herbal teas during the day to keep your body hydrated, and flush out toxins. When there are too many toxins or acids in your body fat cells are being created to store those toxins safely away. Water also helps to feel full and speeds up your metabolism.

2. Eat Lots Of Raw Vegetables And Fruits
The best way to lose pounds quickly, go on a fruit and veggie fast. Instead of eating meat, pasta, rice or potatoes try to eat raw or steamed veggies only. Make sure to get plenty of raw leafy greens like spinach, kale, watercress, chard, lettuce, etc. Leafy greens are extremely low in calories, they alkalize your body, and eliminate toxins.
Drink green smoothies, eat veggie and fruit salads for lunch (no dressing, use a dash of lemon juice and black pepper instead) and have steamed or raw vegetables for dinner. If needed you can add a bit of quinoa, millet or brown rice to those veggies.

3. Exercise
Sweating is an excellent way to eliminate toxins and help you to burn fat faster. So for quick weight loss, try to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Hot yoga, HIIT, or cardio exercises are best. Saunas will also help you to break a sweat and eliminate toxins and fat.
4. No Salt, Artificial Sweeteners, or Processed Foods
Those cause water retention and make you look fat. Actually, we use small amounts of salt to flavor our dishes. There are so many herbs and spices to choose from (parsley, cilantro, thyme, rosemary, turmeric, ginger, and garlic), you’ll see you’ll actually don’t need salt at all and they aid weight loss. And for the sweet tooth, try ripe bananas, stevia, cinnamon or dates to sweeten things up.
5. Eliminate Gluten, Soy, and Dairy
Most people show very good results in terms of weight loss and health when they eliminate those foods from their diet. For many people, those cause inflammation, allergic reactions, and weight gain.

6. Replace Sugar and Carbs With Healthy Proteins and Fats For Energy
Those stimulate the secretion of insulin. When you eat a low carb diet your body will use fat as its primary energy source instead of sugars. Actually, you don’t need grains or potatoes to meet your daily requirement of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
To set your weight loss on auto-pilot without feeling hungry all the time, make sure each meal consists out of a protein source, a fat source, and low-carb vegetables. For quick weight loss, it is even better to reduce meat and fats as well and get all your nutrients from fruit and veggies.
Protein: Lean meat, fish, seafood, eggs, beans, lentils, avocados, seeds, and nuts.
Fat: coconut oil, ghee, grass-fed butter, and olive oil
Low-carb vegetables: kale, spinach, chard, lettuce, bok choy, celery, radishes, cabbage, okra, broccoli, peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, carrots, etc.
7. De-stress and Get Your Sleep
Make sure to get your 7 to 8 hours of sleep. During your sleep your body eliminates toxins, and there are many studies linking poor sleep and stress to weight gain.
