Mackerel Parmesan Salad with Honey Lime Dressing

Just as salmon, mackerel is said to help with cardiovascular disease, prostate cancer, age-related vision loss, and dementia thanks to its richness in omega-3 fatty acids - a type of fat that is good for your health. Next to being an excellent source of omega-3, mackerel is also a good source of vitamin D, protein, some B vitamins, and selenium.

  • 1 cup cucumber cubed
  • 1/3 cup red onion chopped

  • 2 cups salad greens of your choice shredded
  • 1 small can (4 oz) mackerel in water crumbled
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Add all salad ingredients to a large salad bowl, except parmesan. Toss to combine. Drizzle with dressing and top with grated parmesan.
