Hydrating Celery Smoothie

Celery is extremely low in calories and highly nutritious. It is one of the most hydrating foods we can put in our bodies. If you are not used to the green taste, start by adding celery gradually though. I just love its added, refreshing flavor but it might not be for everyone.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach packed
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 cup pineapple chunked
  • 1 pear peeled and cored
  • 1 kiwifruit
  • 2 cups water or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon chia or ground flax seeds

Instructions

  • Blend spinach and water until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend again.
  • Top with chia seeds, goji berries, flax seed, hemp hearts, etc. if you like.

Notes

  • I added 2 teaspoons moringa powder while blending. 
  • TIP: Use one or more frozen fruit(s) to chill the smoothie. Or use ice cubes instead.
