2. Breastfeed
Not only is breastfeeding better for your baby’s health, but it also helps to burn an additional 500 calories a day. Some women even manage to drop all their pounds through breastfeeding alone.
3. Drink Plenty Of Plain Water
Drink plenty of plain water during the day. Keeping your body hydrated is vital to tone and tighten your skin. It also helps to eliminate excess waste materials and fat.
4. Watch Your Diet
Healthy eating is key to losing excess weight after giving birth. Your body needs the nutrients to heal itself. Include more nutrient-dense whole foods –such as fruits, vegetables, legumes, seeds, nuts, and whole grains – to your daily diet.
Avoid empty-calorie or fatty foods as much as possible. Also, try and eat 5 smaller meals instead of 3 big ones. This will keep your blood sugar levels in check and cravings at bay. Opting for a more plant-based lifestyle is one of the best ways to lose a lot of pounds.

6. Sleep
While this may not always be easy with a newborn, making sure you get your sleep is necessary to lose weight. Mixed-up sleeping patterns can upset your metabolism or fat-burning mechanism. So whenever your baby is sleeping, have a quick nap as well. This will also give you more energy for your workouts.
7. Vitamin D
Scientists at the University of Minnesota have found that people with higher levels of vitamin D, lose more weight. It may boost leptin levels, a hormone responsible for the full stomach signal.
8. Chew Your Food
Studies have shown that people who eat slowly and chew each bit 30 to 40 times, eat up to 12% less than people who only chew their food 15 times.
The more you chew, the more you break down food, which makes it easier for your body to absorb nutrients. It also gives your body the time to give your brain the full stomach signal. Chewing also stimulates the production of appetite-controlling hormones.
9. Dry Skin Brush
Skin brushing aids circulation and elimination of toxins and can help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. It is definitely not a weight loss wonder, but it feels great and only takes 5 min of your time. Click here to learn more about dry skin brushing.
