A gorgeous and glowing skin is something we all desire but doesn’t always happen naturally. We spoil our skin with expensive masks and lotions that promise us the most amazing results, but there is only so much you can do if you don’t take care of your body from the inside out. You need to feed it the right ingredients to build and maintain that gorgeous, radiant skin.
Here are my skin-boosting tips and foods you should incorporate into your diet for a gorgeous and glowing skin.
1. Stay Hydrated
A beautiful, radiant skin is all about hydration, and I’m not only talking about drinking plenty of plain, fresh water here. Eating enough water rich whole foods is equally important to make your skin glow. These include cucumber, celery, watermelon, tomatoes, spinach, berries and much more.
2. Ditch Sugar
Excess consumption of sugar is what ages or damages our skin. Eating sugar, especially the refined white stuff, dehydrates the skin, causes inflammation and makes your system acidic. All these factors make your skin more vulnerable to lose its elasticity and youthful look. And don’t be fooled by the so-called natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup or agave. Although they may be healthier than the refined stuff, they still act as sugars in your body and contain as much fructose as regular sugar. If you need to sweeten things up, use cinnamon, dates or stevia instead.

3. Get A Vitamin C Boost
Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins for a gorgeous and glowing skin. It fights wrinkles, premature aging and helps to cleanse your system. The best way to get your daily vitamin C shot is through drinking a glass of water with fresh lemon juice first thing in the morning, and more during the day if you like the taste.

4. Focus On Healthy Fats
Fats are definitely not your enemy like mentioned above sugar is! Your body needs fat to function and promote a beautiful, youthful skin. But not all fats are created equally though. Opt for healthy plant fats and avoid animal fats as much as possible. They are harder to digest, age your skin, and make your body acidic.
Healthy fats include seeds, nuts, avocados, young coconuts, beans, etc. Cook your dishes with organic, high-quality coconut oil, olive oil or ghee. These are the only oils that don’t form harmful free radicals that not only wreak havoc on your complexion but damage your whole body.
